Bio
Andrés Paredes is a visual artist and graphic designer. He was born in Apóstoles, Misiones, in 1979. The conceptual axis of his work is marked by the contemporary rereading of the jungle in the land where he was born. From his research, he materializes diverse insects with a common point: transformation.
He exhibited in various spaces such as the Centro Cultural Recoleta, CCK (Centro Cultural Kirchner), Museo Campo de Marco La Boca, Casa de América in Madrid, Convention Center in Los Angeles during the LA Art Show, Museo Provincial de Bellas Artes Ramón Vidal in Corrientes, Museo FAyD de la Facultad de Arte y Diseño in Oberá Misiones, Centro de Expresiones Contemporáneas (CEC) in Rosario, Galería Samara in Houston, Museo Estévez in Rosario, Museum of Fine Arts and the ECO Museum in Foz do Iguaçú, among others.
During 2020 the publishing house of the Tres Pinos Foundation published his first monographic book of 240 pages. In addition, he was Jury of the 1st National Salon Nuevo Banco del Chaco in Resistencia and selection jury of the Itaú Visual Arts Award 2020.
