Apr. 24, 2024 — Apr. 28, 2024

Galería COTT will be present at Stand R2 of the RADAR section, curated by Florencia Battiti, at the PINTA PArC 2024 fair, together with Lucila Gradín (Río Negro, 1981) and Andrés Paredes (Misiones, 1979). This edition will take place from April 24 to 28 at Casa Prado, Lima, Peru.

Galería COTT presents a project between artist Lucila Gradín and artist Andrés Paredes. The curatorship of the stand generates a dialogue between the two contemporary artists, around the practices and ancestral knowledge of the inhabitants of their lands with an axis that encompasses the sustainable and the eco-environmental.
Lucila Gradín’s production works the conjunction of art and nature by making natural dyes and investigating their spiritual properties. In her journey into the depths of the natural world, Lucila Gradín collects substances that trace other ways of understanding what surrounds us. On the other hand, Andres Paredes reveals a considerable diversity of artistic resources and operations that revolve around nature and transformation as a central axis, the rereading of the landscape of the Atlantic Forest -where the artist was born and raised-.
The curatorial dialogue exhibits a re-reading of ancestral practices by contemporary artists who have had a direct connection with these traditions since childhood.
